Rendering here uses the browser's system font, which approximates SF Pro on macOS/iOS and Roboto/Noto on Android. Verify final metrics on devices in M7.1.

Type scale

Interface roles (top) and content roles (bottom) at the default text size. Sizes grow with the OS text size setting; see typography.md for the caps.

Content roles (sample: de → fr). Content text may be any script and gets the script line-height class.

Scripts at default size

Each card: target term, example sentence with the highlighted term, and translation. lang and dir are set per field, never per screen. Tall scripts use .script-tall (×1.25 line height), CJK uses .script-cjk (×1.1).

The same cards with --text-scale: 2. Text wraps; nothing is truncated; the card grows. Tall-script lines keep their marks clear of the line above.
